This season, the most important thing is to spend some quality time with your loved ones, and that’s why we don’t want you to worry about what are you eating. Check out some tips to enjoy this holiday season with no regrets.
Don’t skip meals
It’s not about eating less, it’s about eating better! Being starved may result in overeating and drinking. Eat normally during the day, and be strategic at the buffet.
Control your portions
Once you measure your portions, you’ll avoid overeating. You can fill a small plate so that you don’t go overboard.
No gym, no worries!
Give yourself a break from the gym. Again, this is a beautiful and unique time of year. Take the time to relax and enjoy with your family. You can also try to stay active in other ways like taking walks around your neighborhood, dancing at home, doing housework, etc.
Drinking too much may not only imply a terrible hangover or weight gain but it can also set off serious health problems like intoxication or an irregular heartbeat.
Finally, just relax! You won’t gain 10 pounds
Sources say that an average person gains only about a pound during the weeks between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. But this is not an excuse to lose control during the holidays. You just need to be strategic and combine foods conveniently, for example: if you eat too much of the main dish, reduce portions or omit dessert.
So, this is our invitation for you to eat and drink responsibly -or smart- and most importantly, for you to just have fun and enjoy a special time with your loved ones without worries and regrets.
